Making salad
Designed to feel like a party from entrance til exit, Venetia Taylor’s stand-up show incorporated traditional comedy with group karaoke*, audience participation (with an agreed safe word) and making one big salad.
*if you want to gauge the tone, sing the lyrics in the photo to the tune of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Inspired by the likes of Luisa Omeilan, Mike Birbiglia and James Acaster. And a girl you met at a karaoke bar that hogs the mic.
All shows were ‘chilled performances’, with accessibility and comfort built into the way the show was directed.
Chilled Performance | noun
A performance that allows for noise and free movement in the auditorium, as well as re-entry for anyone who may need time away from the performance.
